Thank you very much, Holger...indeed the water was cool but I was in full Maltese strength sun! Thank you Carole, there are many such wells and springs all over the island, I ought to do a series of them as all are very different. A tiny watercolour, 5x7ins of the well in Lunzjata Valley. I was inspired by the light and shade on the water and weeds but had to work even faster than usual as I was standing in full sun...30* is no joke!! I had to move away and finish it in shade!
