The poppies really help to add distance, as do the patches of purple in the distant buildings. Love the sky and If so love to be there.

Decided to completely rework this painting of Mdina, the old capital of Malta, a glorious old city, standing high on a hill. I have concentrated on the tonal quality, especially in the distance, highlighting certain areas where the sunlight is raking across the fields, and placing poppies in the foreground to give it a little extra appeal. Just hoping I haven't overdone it! Comments and help gratefully received as usual!
