Another beautiful paiting, Thalia.

Interesting description, you say there were a mass of tables and chairs just out of frame. Yet your painting is very tranquil. Lovely work as ever.

Lovely painting, Thalia, and I agree that it looks very tranquil - so sad to hear of the tourist industry spoiling pretty places like this...

Lovely Thalia.

Your usual lovely standard Thalia. Shame about tourists everywhere.

Thank you, all, for such encouraging comments as this is in a sale next Monday at a huge hotel on the big rock [aka Malta!] Really sorry as I gave the wrong impression. Tourists are very welcome here, the trouble is too many restauranteurs, not enough tourists to go round!!! Thank you Cesare, Lewis, Jan, Heather, Carole, and Michael.

Lovely work once again Thalia, enjoyed my brief spell in Parga last week, sketching by the sea. You are quite right about the tourists being necessary, probably the old craft would be long gone, as with the old fishing boats in the Uk.

Lovely colours Thalia!

Love the colours - lovely.

They just want to share Thalia..... we have some of those problems too, but you are so much smaller!! Nice job here, a lovely scene of serenity.

thank you Margaret and Linda and Guy, I like the tourists, they are what keep these islands going, it's the greed and short sightedness that galls!

Quite small, 14x23cm, this has all the old features beloved of old Xlendi, which used to be so pretty...now full, quite literally, of restaurants. The watchtower, built by the Knights of Malta, the little grotto where all the fishing boats used to moor and the shallow water with the jetty are still so pretty. Turn your back to the sea here and you can't move for tables and chairs.
