A very different feel to this one Thalia, no blazing Maltese sunshine! Good detail on the resting boats though.

Love the early, eerie light of this Thalia. Life just about to spring into daylight. Those patches of red really work well.

Beautifully calmn. A set of Boats on the front are not just only boat, to me, but also show sort of the personality of each them, like a couple of human beings stationing together.... .

Thank you Lewis, very kind of you, they're fast disappearing as no one wants to spend time and money renovating them. Shame! Thank you Tessa, yup, that was just what I was after! I was getting withdrawal symptoms as I haven't painted a boat for a while!! This was painted in oils from a photo, I had painted it in watercolours a while ago. Painted over another quite dark oil sketch, I resisted the temptation to place much detail in the far right and left out the huge ferry! What attracted me to the central boat was the light shining through the old bucket!!
