Dramatic lighting works really well.

I like the contrast between dark and light colours - I think it adds drama and impact to the painting.

The light blue cabin does look as though it has light catching on it, but that’s not necessarily wrong, it just makes it the point your eye comes back to. The dark cave is great.

I like the darks and lights Thalia. The cabin may be a bit light, so what, as long as it’s pleasing to the eye.

Super rich colour and I like it just as it is Thalia but it's your painting. If undecided, put it to one side for a few days and look at it again with 'fresh' eyes!

I completely agree with the others. Your cabin looks like a shaft of light has caught it, making it stand out wonderfully against the dark cave wall. This beautiful effect is doubly accentuated by the cabin's reflection in the deep and dark water. I'd say you're finished. Great work! Bri

Thank you so much for all your helpful thoughtful comments Stephen, Shaun, Tessa, Carole, Louise and Brian. Much appreciated, and will do as Louise suggests and put it away for a few days!

Great colours and drama, Thalia

I like the light on the cabin with the dark area behind it. Lovely!

Just gorgeous as it is , love the reflections in the water, the dark cave and that light coming through here and there, Thalia.

I like it as it is as well - very dramatic.

Thank you for all these helpful comments, Maureen, Margaret Annick and Margaret much appreciated

Lovely, Thalia, very atmospheric, and that patch of light blue really makes it sing.

This little chap wasn't working, I started to paint over it and somehow this appeared to begin to work. I rather like the dark brown reflection of the cave! the pale blue of the cabin may need adjusting? Comments/help gratefully acted upon as ever!
