Thank you very much, Jim. Yes the reason we chose it was ...'mistakes' wouldn't matter!!! That freed everyone up to interpret it in their own way! My students in my last week's workshop were mostly beginners and chose this subject to paint. Some may remember a mixed media study I posted of the scene a few weeks ago. We try to paint a whole oil painting in a day, ie approximately 4 hours. They made a really good job of it and the whole day was great fun!
