Thank you very much, Michael, kind of you! Indeed it is, John, as that was my intention! I wanted to emphasise the old kiosk and the flowers, it's now taken a back seat and been pushed away up a side street out of Republic Street as seen here. We are losing so much of the Maltese old ways...I could rant for hours!!! Sorry! This depicts the biggest Festa of the year, Santa Maria, held all over the Maltese islands, and this is Valletta, by the iconic kiosk which sells beautiful flowers. there are garlands and statues and flags and draperies everywhere. The evenings are spent watching endless spectacular firework displays.
