Thanks so much for your comments Linda, Margaret, Dixie and Willie. No Willie, they didn’t stand still for long, so this is a combination of a number of quick pose sketches then put together.

Drawn from my kitchen window for the January daily sketch. The pavements along the road from our house are being dug up and re laid, with much measuring and discussion. This is pen with gouache.
