This looks much bigger than it is Tess. Very impressive to be so small and it certainly has the feel of Matisse.

A cracker Tessa! Full of colour and shapes, did you find it easy to get your head around it? I remember doing Matisse, I felt it was an easier style to do than some of the other impressionist.

Thank you all! Marjorie, they are not real goldfish and that is not a real bowl, therefore no real oxygen needed. 😉 Fiona, I started from a point of view of ‘really ? Matisse? Not my favourite, but spent some time looking at various aspects of his work and ended up quite liking it, or some at least! Part of this, the fruit bowl, is taken from one of his paintings, then expanded and added in my own style, and in the end, not sure much of Matisse about it. 🤭

Very good effort Tessa, some of Mattise’s work is exceptional, but others I wouldn’t give tuppence for. I too am currently working on a piece in his style, but that is not likely to be worth tuppence either!
