This is what watercolour is all about. Beautiful transparency and just the right mix of lost and found edges. I must try painting flowers. You inspire me to do flowers.

Had great intention to pick a poppy from the garden, but ended up with this bearded iris. I am not a botanical painter but the sheer joy of May flowers makes me want to have a "go". This is watercolour done wet into wet..Just one for my sketch book.
