I like the way the gulls actually repeat the curves of the swell and, to an extent, the clouds.

Golly gosh Ruth that was quick, thank you, I actually hadnt realised that, but yes they do...quite accidental.

Excellent control of the watercolour especially with your "cauliflower" clouds. Like it a lot.

Wonderful variety of subtle colors and lively brushwork. The sea green blends marvelously with the cool sky hues. A very dynamic composition. To be nomadic wings borne away by billowy blue amid ocean spray.

Wow Rod, where does that quote come from? It's beautiful and so apt.

Excellent composition , very well done .James

I like your work a lot. Such bright and clean colours, very simple, no fuss. I don't paint with watercolours any more and I do envy your style. Do you use liquid watercolours or inks as-well?

Agree with all the above comments, its a lovely fresh painting, I love it.

Thank you one and all.I do use inks, but this is watercolour from pans so easy to put in my pocket and virtually instant.

We love this one Sylvia.....the clouds are very good & the colours are very vibrant.....very well done
