I know this painting. If it has been destroyed then your most excellent rendition will keep its memory well and truly alive. Matisse would be BLUE with envy.

Great, like this Susan

Thank you very much for the complimentary comment Steve. It'nice to know that you actually recognized the painting I have tried to replicate. Thank you too Heather, your comments are always valued and most appreciated.

Another beauty of a great artist Susan

Thank you for your comment Dennis, yes he was great artist indeed Dennis. I hope I've done it justice.

Enjoy your very particular style Susan. Very much agree with Steve’s comments.

Thank you very much Carole. Your comments are always appreciated.

I don't know this particular Matisse painting but the style is a dead ringer for Matisse, colours are perfect.

Thank you for your lovely comment Robert, it's very much appreciated. The original painting was called 'Reading Girl in White and Yellow' painted by Matisse in 1919.

Being a big fan of Matisse I painted this for me. The original one was apparently stolen from Rotterdam museum and is believed to have been destroyed.

About the Artist
Susan Fisher

In late 2017 I joined an acrylic art class as a beginner and I've been painting ever since. I particularly enjoy impressionism, expressionism and fauvism and a lot of my art work reflects this. I also enjoying painting portraits. I would like to thank all POL members who help and encourage me.
