After Picasso - homage to him and my dad
This is homage to my late father. When I was a little girl, my dad used to sketch but never took it seriously. I remember being in awe of him as he would jest that he could copy anything even a Picasso! Well, my mum recently found a pencil sketch he did of a man with a pipe and she gave it to me. It’s the only sketch that survives and of course I will always treasure it….but…. I couldn’t resist having a go at a Picasso and turning my dad’s sketch into a painting within it. The result is as you see, a Picasso with a twist! I hope I’ve done it justice.
About the Artist
Susan Fisher
In late 2017 I joined an acrylic art class as a beginner and I've been painting ever since. I particularly enjoy impressionism, expressionism and fauvism and a lot of my art work reflects this. I also enjoying painting portraits. I would like to thank all POL members who help and encourage me.
