This picture idea came to me after I had created the background using a Gelli plate. I saw space, solitude, peace, time to get away and "re-group thoughts" etc. I used my sewing machine to attach the words to the card. The reason I did this is because more often than not, victims of domestic abuse cover over and hide the realities of what's happening. Sewing on the words could be seen as covering up what's underneath. The overall dimensions of this picture are 13" x 10.5". The distress stained wooden frame (holding glass) is a lovely soft gray/blue colour. For sale.
