I love playing with ideas, and often create several paintings/ pictures from one subject. Here whilst sitting in my "snug" reading I looked out of my windows into the garden. I thought that it would be an interesting challenge to draw the dark interior and the light of the garden outside. I used a mixture of graphite and carbon to achieve this extra contrast, and think that it works well. I also liked the idea of trying to create a unified exterior whilst looking through the two windows. This drawing is a miniature, 5cm x 7cm.
