Beautiful kingfisher Caren D'ache pencils are not the easiest to use , might be a little easier if you tried a smoothish paper or practise on cartridge paper which is very cheap you have a lovely painting here. as all you other work I have just discovered. well done

Haven been given some Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils I wanted a really vibrant picture to try them out. When I saw Kevin Hazelgrove's award winning photograph of this Kingfisher in the Wildlife Photography challenge I thought it would be a wonderful test for these new pencils. I have really enjoyed using them, but the peper I chose was hard to handle as the crayon kept lifting.
