I worked on this picture in full imperial size for about a month. My inspiration came from seeing Mondrian's trees and how he used "the spaces in between". I wondered how that style in oils and charcoal would translate into water colour. I used trees around our village as the basic skeleton and then let my imagination run - with the paint!
