A sepia watercolour, painted in situ at a life drawing session. The model had her back to me with both arms almost completely hidden. The light was striking her shoulder into sharp relief, and gave a great opportunity for a high contrast focal point. This was a 25 minute pose.

I do life drawing in pencil and charcoal. I also paint all sorts of subjects in watercolour and oils. I enjoy painting still life, figurative, landscapes, townscapes and abstract. I like to paint expressively.
