Hi Carole, i'm sure there are a trillion ways of painting snow.....if you want my 2p's worth i would say use plenty of white in your mixes but avoid using pure white except for the finishing touch highlights. Like water snow usually reflects the sky colour to some degree especially the snow shadows. However nothing is ever a set rule in painting and in one of my other galleries i have a snowy postcard painting where i have used pure white for the snow.....haha how useless at advice am I
