A very strong and beautiful painting! Yes do try your palette knife on canvas next time, it's a lovely feeling to glide the paint over it.

I'm impressd that you are able to get any sort of resemblance with a palette knife Stephen, I am no good at all with a knife. well done.

30cm x42cm on acrylic paper.I have tried a new technique for me, used a plastic palette knife for the first time in this painting, although used a brush for the background and for some detail. Really enjoyed using the palette knife and will do so again. I have painted from a photograph provided by Nigel Butler, who is also the model .Many thanks to him. Will try this technique again probably on canvas next time.
