Nice work, Stephen, this is new style for you.

Nice earthy tones Stephen.

Many thanks Cesare and Henry. Perhaps because it was not my own photo I approached things a little differently.

Lovely sky and fields Stephen.

I like this one a lot Stephen, a good style.

Great sky and good use of a limited palette on the fields.

Many thanks Sarah, Alan and Brian for your kind remarks.

A slightly different approach Stephan, but I like it. Muted colours blend perfectly into the landscape, very nice.

Beautiful sky and I love the way your eye wanders through the fields to reach the house. Diana

I like the patchwork fields and the composition Stephen.

Many thanks Diana and Carole.

A smashing depiction of a very painterly area. That tree sets the cottage well

Very nice and very different Stephen! The only thing is, I'd have continued the line/hedge of the green middle field right across the paper, and then darkened the resulting field a little. . It looks unfinished to me at the moment. I'm being honest and otherwise like this one!

Many thanks Derek and Louise, I suppose the problem with painting from a photo of a familiar spot, you tend to copy it too much, I 'm sure it would look better if I done as you suggested.

Love this Stephen - I can see you are moving on.

Many thanks for your encouraging thoughts Frank.

Delph is a lovely village a few miles from where I live. Painted from a photo on on the Internet.

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
