And hasn't it worked well Stephen! It looks perishing cold and the white line resulting from the dry brush across the background looks good, as do the tree branches. Possibly, if you paint more in this way, you won't use a pencil at all in future. Imagine no more pencils to sharpen..LOL

It's turned out great, Stephen! Love that misty cold feel of the piece and the wet-on-wet technique worked wonderfully to create a super atmospheric perspective.

A very successful snow scene Stephen......lovely mists for atmosphere, great bare trees and the light snow line on the horizon tops it off.

I like this snow scene Stephen, certainly captured the atmosphere of a really cold snow covered winters day, very seasonal as well .

I thought I would try Louise's method and go straight on with the rigger for this imaginary scene, enjoyed it but I went a bit wild with the wet in wet approach and had to tidy it up a bit!
