Such a beautiful colour here Stephen! The old building is so beautifully drawn and I love the car in front of it. Lovely work!

Lovely warm Autumn colours Stephen.

Many thanks Satu and Carole for your kind remarks.

This is beautiful Stephen, a really what I call 'classy' watercolour. Still and atmospheric. Think it's the addition of the car which works so well for me. It's a large stylish car outside a large beautiful building. I imagine a few posh people inside sipping tea out of china cups..

Many thanks Louise for your generous comments. The foreground shadow is cast by the main house, which is to the left. The last of the Lees family donated the house and grounds to the people of Oldham in the 1940's, it is now a local community learning centre and I go to an art group in there on Tuesday's. Hence the many images I paint there.

Super work Stephen and lovely palette.

Many thanks once again Frank.

So recognisable as yours - great style Stephen

A lovely harmonious watercolour Stephen.

Many thanks Michael and Fiona for your lovely comments, much appreciated.

Nearly missed this one Stephen, a lovely palette and nice piece of watercolour painting .

Many thanks once again for your kind words Graham. Good to have encouragement from a fellow watercolourist.

The lovely Victorian building is merely a gatehouse at the entrance to what was the estate of a cotton magnet, now a public park!. Must have been pretty good for the few, prior to 'great' war!

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
