Lovely winter snow scene Stephen, but I think you may be in trouble from some quarters...(-:

Thanks Jim, it's quite a poor copy so he/ she would probably not recognise it!

Beautiful subdued colours, really like this scene.

Hey, Stephen, I was referring to the snow on the site here, not any artist rights. I got my instructions on that hand when I posted Narnia the other day. The bikini girls will be on your case...(-: .

Lovely winter scene, Stephen.

Many thanks everyone, dream of bikini girls Jim! Trouble is I can't catch them now, in fact ever!

What a hoot of an exchange. I laughed my proverbials off following the thread. Lovely painting, Stephen, and yes, snow is a dodgy subject just now. I've revised a couple of winter scenes and dare NOT post them. *lol* Only kidding. Lovely atmosphere, relaxing and calm. Brian

Many thanks Brian, hope you find your socks ok.

Lovely subtle painting, Stephen...but snow ...again? In June??? lol!

Thank you all, I'm laughing at the thread here, too!! Wot a hoot!

Many thanks Thalia, bit late for snow but not unknown in the Pennines!

The light is just right, very atmospheric Stephen.

Don't worry about it Stephen, it is winter out here - by 2 days - and already we have seen snow - ski fields in South Island are drooling over their early start. Fortunately Wanganui has only seen snow flakes on a couple of occasions in the past 50 years. I like this painting - and the snow is where it should be - on paper

Many thanks Mike, of course it is your winter.

Thanks for the Matthew 13:12 correction.

From an image I found on line, no artists name to credit I'm afraid.

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
