You're definitely hitting the mark today. Superb stuff!

It's another cracker Stephen superb

Thanks once again Dennis.

What type of paper is it if you don't mind me asking Stephen

I think it's cartridge paper Dennis, it's quite heavy and seems to accept a lot of water. I did these last two very quickly, mostly let wet in wet and laid the paper flat on a board with no tape. I don't think it be up to over working/ layering.

I am liking the wet in wet washes very much Stephen, their excellent. I would like to see a little more variation in your foreground trees, an old oak, who knows, and not necessarily the whole tree either, that's not a criticism, just my thought's.

Thanks Stephen may source some

Many thanks Alan for your advice, that's one of the nice things about this site, that people are generous in sharing their experience with other members.

that bit of breaking water against the bank makes this and the boats are so well positioned..

Great washes Stephen and I agree with Michael regarding that broken white line on the far shore, excellent!

Thanks Stephen, I did quite a few wet in wet paintings earlier this year, my Wye Valley series, they are dotted around my gallery on different pages. This might give you some idea of what I mean, well, I hope it does, keep at it.

Many thanks once again, Michael, Fiona and Alan.

Nice painting Stephen I like the sky its painted so well .

Many thanks once again Dennis.

Just beautiful Stephen...a lovely tranquil scene.

Many thanks once again Chandra, much appreciated.

Thanks once again Michael, because these last few are imagined, with no reference it is quite hard to imagine details. I suppose the next step is to consider the painting and then see what improvements could be made, as you have pointed out, many thanks for taking the time to pose the question.

Hi Stephen, great result, all the wet into wet is superb. If I dare say a few extra darks in the foreground would create even more depth. Great job.

Many thanks Roland, I will consider that for future work, I can't really add to this one as it is on cartridge paper.

Third and final, quick imaginary scenes in watercolour. The last two are on thick cartridge paper which worked surprisingly well.
