Quick and nice! I can't say that all of my quick works are that fine.

Brave and successful Stephen.....no restrictions going straight in with the brush. Not very often I draw anything in first, mainly because I can't draw.

Many thanks Ivan and Fiona. I don't post many of my quickies Ivan, as they are anything but fine! This one improved when I added the darks under the trees and the shadow on the pathway. I think drawing is drawing Fiona, whether it's with a pencil, pen or brush. I find with watercolour there is a temptation to overdo a pencil sketch, which seems to spoil the watercolour.

Lovely scene and great reflections

Many thanks Glennis.

Well done Stephen, straight in with a brush, that shows in the spontaneity in this super little W/C.

Many thanks once again Dennis and Alan.

Lots to like about this Stephen - subtle colours, wet-in-wet in the background trees, water that looks like water and good reflections and shadows. Well done!

Another great quickie Stephen.

Many thanks Michael.

Lovely painting Stephen :)

Quick and lovely Stephen it always seems to me my sketches often have an immediate quality that is lost if taken further, lovely Stephen.

Many thanks Dennis, I quite agree, the longer I spend on a painting the worse they get! Note to self, stop fiddling!

Quick works always have a freshness about them, don't they and this one certainly is lightly done and very fresh.

Many thanks once again Thea.

Very nicely done, Stephen!

Many thanks once again Seok.

Many thanks for your encouraging remarks Michael.

A quick watercolour, from an old photo, again no pre drawing.
