Many thanks for your thoughtful comments and suggestions Michael, much appreciated. The initial watercolour sketch was very weak, tha's why I used the green pastel in the foreground but as you say it could do with being stronger still. Nice thing about P.O.L. that other artists share ideas.

I did a quick watercolour sketch yesterday from imagination, it was too weak so I have added a little pastel, what do you think?

I am a self taught amateur painter, I mostly paint landscapes in watercolour but I 'dabble' in other mediums from time to time. I really enjoy my art, especially painting outdoors when the weather allows.
