Winkle Street revised.

Winkle Street revised.

In my opinion this is a wonderful improvement. It seems to have more life and the foliage and trees have interest and that variation in shade which makes them so much less dense. Well done indeed for taking the comments and running with them - it has paid off in spades! This is now a lovely painting with a nice light touch.

Have checked out the first one and the foreground greens look much better- warmer and varied, as the houses are so detailed I would tend to leave out the detail in grasses at front as it is such a lovely composition and your eye is lead along the street you dont need much to distract from this. I just cannot handle acrylics at all and reverted back to watercolours or oils instead although I see a thread on the forum about how good the new W and N ones are.

The edges to the path are well lined.....leading into the painting......your eye then goes to the tree leading up into the sky.....Very well done.

I think the revised version is so much better. The foliage looks better having the different shades of green. I like the sky, which I have a lot of trouble with. In fact I like the overall effect, glad you had a second go at it.

Just to prove that I am taking comments and suggestions on board - he is a revised version. I have tried to mask the greens somewhat. Check out the original and see what I mean.
