Thank you Spencer. I’m not so sure about brilliant. I think he looks a bit ashen, but then he is called Ash!

Nicely composed with pastel Linda, the skin tones turned out well and depth between the collar bone, it must have been hard rubbing in the the darker parts under the chin and orbits of his eyes... I always need to use a fine brush as to form a shadow ...it takes time and patience to develop tonal plateau ....but you mastered this life sketch, well done!

Thank you Angela. I used layering for the dark tones. After rubbing in a mid tone brown, I used a sepia pastel pencil for the very dark parts.

Very good for an hour’s session Linda.
