I thought the idea was to enjoy the process Linda. You have done a reasonable job and I like the face. What paint was you using.

This is really good except for the hands - a bit small and please add more detail texture to the sax. The face and figure/suit are excellent,

Thanks for your kind comments. The problem was with the canvas rather than the paint. The canvas either had fungicide on it or it was static from the cellophane wrapper. Either way it initially repelled the water based paint, so I applied acrylic medium to the whole canvas and tried to avoid water. I'll have another look at the hands though. ( A bit hard once the model has gone.)

A 4 hour portrait of my art teacher's husband with his saxophone. I struggled with this as the paint did not want to take to the canvas. The background still shows signs of this, but i've had too much stress with this already.
