I see the pale moon rising.

I think as a close up of the moon it is very unusual and worth thinking about for another painting. The light on the edge of central image and the detail of the inner part are outstanding and the outer part is just enough to set it in place .Really good piece of authentic study.

Many thanks for your comment John. I might well do a more detailed study, without it being covered in cloud. I have some photos from S Africa, where the moon really loos like a pearl hanging in the sky.
