I personally like the look , I have done a few vignettes in the past . I currently looking at Beningfield’s artwork there are quite a few painting in this style in his books

This is so inviting Sophie. Love the dreamy atmosphere and that gentle blue sky.

I like the loose edges Sophie, I think it helps to keep a light, loose and fluid feel to the painting. Also like your use of colour and delicate lines.

This watercolour is inspired by a recent walk through Carwinion Woods, Mawnan Smith in Falmouth. I'm experimenting with leaving the loose edges on show as part of the final piece. I'd love anyone's feedback on whether you think it works. I sometimes think the most interesting parts of the painting seem to happen on the edges!
