A lovely painting Skylar, very apt for present times also.

I must be awful there. I remember Katrina, 12 years ago, while I was on my honeymoon. We had originally planned to go to New Orleans and Nashville, but someone let us down on our arrangements and we went to Vienna instead at the last minute. We were so pleased that we were not there. Even most of Europe was being flooded, but vienna was sunny.

What an image you've chosen Skylar. I was reading today about all the animals left behind, wonderful to think that they are being rescued too. Can't imagine the panic and fear. Is he yours? What a lucky dog.

Diana - Thank you for commenting. The storm is still raging on, having left Houston, heading NE into Louisiana. I am a Big animal lover, and that was my first priority.

Marjorie - They are just now showing all the deserted, or left animals in Houston. The Mayor Never announced evacuations, Tho most knew the storm was coming right at them. This is an Epic Disaster! Yes, He is now mine, and is (appx.) 15.

The dogs posture says it all. Saw the devistation in New Orleans a few years ago. Tv cameras do a good job but visiting just blows you away....

So saddening Skylar but your painting is very good, love the doggy.
