I spent a lovely holiday near Clifden - super part of the world. This has a lovely Irish feel to it with the little white-washed cottage and the far reaching views. Nicely done.

Spotted the cottage at the end of a genealogy holiday in Connemara and found it was lived in by an elderly couple with the same surname KEELEY. My ancestors came from Connemara many years ago so sketched and photographed the cottage always intending to do a "proper" painting which I have yet to do. Out beyond the cottage is America.

I thought this was Ireland - such a characteristic scene and you've portrayed it beautifully. Where we live in Kerry, on the coast near Kenmare, we also stand by the sea, look out to the west and say 'Next stop, America...'
