Great sketch - love the penwork which hasn't been overdone. Just enough detail too to describe the scene without going too far. I am a great fan of pen and wash but sadly can't seem to do it myself.

Thanks for your comment. Sketch done a few years back sat on a seat by St Jame's Church. Taken the seat away now so can't do it again. Louth is one of those small towns packed with lovely spots crying out to be drawn or painted - just won the BBC Countryfile award for best market town in England. Not from Louth so can blow trumpet for the town. Kevin

Like Thea, I too, am a great fan of pen & wash Kevin, especially when they are of this standard. Just enough information and subdued washes. I'm not from Louth either but I know it quite well, it has some geat antique shops. Yes, I've been parted from a few pounds there on more than one occasion.

This is such an attractive sketch Kevin,and the colour washes really bring it to life.
