i love this the foreground tree ending in a hand is thought provoking and the dancing trees on the horizon are great. the beautiful blue in the r.h corner balances the field of blue trees but not sure what it is, not that it matters. i bought 2 prints of crazy landscapes with stripey hills several years ago, no signature probably mass produced but you may be interested in them i could send you pictures of them if youre interested put your e mail on my portfolio if you are. couldnt really post them on this site !! your terryfiona is terrific like me you enjoy all the loverly colours.

Lovely work Sian! Great colour choices. The composition reminds me of Paul Nash's rather surreal landscapes and I like that very much. You ponder on how to do shading in a painting - a good rule of thumb for shadow is to take the colour of the object casting the shadow and then use a colour from the opposite side of the colour wheel. Obviously you have to be careful, but on the whole it works quite well - give it a try!

A quite interesting painting and I like a lot..

Thank you Helen, Martin and Ping. Your comments are much appreciated and encourage me to try more.
