I am hopeless at this sort of thing; I can gaze at an image for minutes on end and still not work out what shapes are supposed to represent, and am having similar problems with this, eg I don't see a skull and horns at all. However, that just causes me to treat this as an abstract, and as such I think your colours are excellently chosen and you should stick with them; they work extremely well together. I would be inclined just to adjust, slightly, some of the lines of division, so that the flow smoothly and follow more closely the geometric shapes (if that makes any sense; I hope it does). You would be amused if you could see me peering at your painting through my Varifocals.....

Thank you so much, Robert. I really do appreciate that you take the time to look and write comments so thanks for the peering. I know what you mean and am glad you pointed it out as I hadn't noticed it myself . I hope I will be able to get a smoother flow of lines with practice - and a better eye.

I can definitely see two horns off centre to the left and to the right as each curves around. I love the colours you have used and wouldn't change a thing. This is contempoary art ( as far as I'm concerned) that would hang happily in anyones home. I love it! Well done and a merry Christmas!

Thumbs up for this one Sian! Hope you went back to your art class. Kind regards Satu

I then gave it a go when I retired and have found it a fascinating hobby, enabling me to view with new eyes, to visit art galleries with greater interest, to sometimes haveā€¦
