Flowers and gourds at Rosie's

Thank you, John. I'm trying to grapple more effectively with the tones.

Your paintings are always so invigorating Shirley.....happy and joyful.

Love your brave, direct approach Shirley. Always interesting and full of life.

Beautiful watercolour as ever, Shirley.

Complex subject really well handled Shirley really like the colour combinations.

What a lovely bright, happy painting Shirley. What kind of paper did you use please?

Another delightful painting Shirley, nice fresh and well painted piece

Hello Janet, thank you for your kind comment! The paper was Bockingford I think. Middle weight, and stretched on a board. I used a funny palette - started off with some wax highlights and pencil. Then indigo to put in the tones. Then a mid yellow, alizarin, and small amount of cobalt blue here and there.

Always a great style Shirley.

Thanks for the info Shirley.

Hang on Studio Wall

Painting at Rosie's this morning, after a long gap. She had arranged this beautiful arrangement for us to paint, and we had a lovely time.
