This is super Shirley, love those directional lines across the fields.

Thanks Fiona. Bit stuck without my pencil sharpener, till Jenny lent me hers!😄

Shirley I’ve been trying to remember the name of an artist who’s work this piece reminds me of. I think it’s Piper but not John Piper, I’ll check, you may like his landscapes they are very colourful and he uses lots of lines and squiggles......very lively paintings.

It’s Luke Piper, Shirley.

Oh thank you, Fiona, I'll check him out!😍

How interesting, Fiona! Luke Piper is John Piper's grandson! You can see the relationship with his grandfather's work. Fascinating!

Very well done, Shirley - I agree with Fiona re the directional lines.

Yes of course he is, I had forgotten the link to John Piper, who’s work I love. I must have come across Luke’s work when looking at John’s, I liked the life and colour in Luke’s work. That’s what struck me about yours.

Thank you, Fiona! Very kind.

Lovely image Shirley , I can only echo what has been said .I shall look up Luke Piper to see what his work is like.

Lovely sweeping lines and vibrant colours give this so much life. Love it

Thank you David and Diana. It is a lovely place. My friend gave me a super book by David Gentleman, who trained with Edward Bawden and John Nash. It's brilliant!
