Lovely, great imagination to turn a humble sweet wrapper into this attractive painting. If I'd been asked to guess what it was I'd have said one of the more colourful fungi.

I really like what you’ve done with this subject. Intriguing

ITS VERY NICE AND ITS GOOD TO PAINT WHATEVER ANYTIME

Almost semi abstract...the luminosity is terrific. Really like this.

Superb shape and wow colouring Shirley. This would look impressive BIG on any wall.

Thank you so much for these kind comments, Gudrun, Sandra, Diana, Dennis, Andre, John. I was doing it while my little class was busy, and it wasn't going very well - the picture, that is. After they had gone I did a few more things, including using some white gouache. Then I sluiced it under the tap, and that revealed what you see. That seemed like the conclusion.

I don't suppose many of us have painted a sweet wrapper Shirley, eaten the contents of course. Well done on this simple idea.

Love this, Shirley, an intriguing composition and such beautiful colours.

Really super luminosity. Love the idea...so different. Great stuff!
