Evening, Hengistbury Head

I love the colours and the brushstrokes. I has impact.

On the Forum, I ventured the opinion that a painting needs more than just representation, or abstraction or whatever, it needs personality. Well, this painting has plenty - I can feel the energy of those brushstrokes - and by the way, what is that red in the foreground? Whatever it is, I don't think I've got it, and need to acquire some...

I so appreciate these helpful comments. Robert, the red is Naphthol Red Light, which I just happened to bring on this holiday. I have also got some nice little pots with lids so I can keep my acrylic colours going nicely.

Bit more on this, looking for stronger thicker colour and areas.
