I thought I recognised the vibrancy from the mag. However, you have made this your won. I really like it, especially the suggested scene through the window.

This really stands out on the gallery Sharon, as Gudrun has said the buildings through the window really add to the depth of the painting and the vibrant colours sing!

Thanks Gudrun and Christine, glad you like it. It was great fun to do, and I love the vibrant colours. Biggest difficulty I found was to make sure the colours mixing on the paper did not turn into mud. Next step will be to try and create some further depth and darks within the still life by overlaying without striking aforesaid mud. I love a challenge !

Yes the colours are vivid and pleasing, love the muted buildings behind the glass. I think that painting stuff on window sills is great fun and full of challenges, nice piece, yes very nice

Dazzling Sharon! Love the mix of colours.

Thanks Jon, Rachel and Fiona for your lovely comments. Appreciate you taking the time to look and comment.

Delicious colours that all clash and also harmonise. A wonderful composition as well. This is a superb piece of work in my opinion.

Pushed the button too soon ! Wanted to say that coming from you, this is praise indeed. Just a bit of fun really, but that's often the way, isn't it : the best bits tend to come from uninhibited experiments.

A stunning piece - love the superb interaction of the positive and negative shapes, the beautiful palette and the luminous, glowing washes. Beautifully done.

I love your colour choice and the way you've let the pigments blend and bleed into each other - especially in the fruit bowl

Having limited myself to two colours for a while, in need of a change and inspired by Glen Scouller's wonderfully colourful watercolours featured in the Summer issue of The Artist, thought I would have a go at using all the most gaudy colours in my paintbox. Great fun. Watercolour, ink and water-soluble wax pastels on Hahnemuehle Andalucia 500 gsm, 30x40
