I rather like the misty, smokey atmosphere of this painting with the shadowy figures in the distance. It has something about it.

Result of a workshop last weekend on urban scenes, atmosphere and how to avoid getting lost in detail. Lots of room for improvement, but will use this as a benchmark to go forward. One important lesson : loose does not mean sloppy, as in wonky perspective ! The bones have to be solid. Painted on Arches 300 gsm 40x45 cm
