Hallo, Horace. A lovely painting - you have a real feeling for these lithe and slender dogs.

Thank you. Horace was a 3 day old puppy when I adopted him together with his parents, who were a pair of former show whippets. He was a very special dog. I've kept whippets ever since. They're lovely dogs, and elegant subjects for painting!

Amazing reading how you came to get this lovely Whippet and it's parents Seok, with a history such as theirs crazy that they should ever have been in need of rescue, but great that you were able to step in and save them and lovely that they lived out their lives loved by you

Thank you very much, Ros and Avril! Ros, yes, it is sad how some people discard their dogs like possessions once their "usefulness" as show dogs is over. Unfortunately it happens more often than it should. Avril, Horace was my first whippet puppy and he and his parents were the first whippets I had. I'm now into my third generation!
