Wow Seok another beautiful watercolour and a superb bit of plein air

Smashing technique and subject again Seok. That is some tide too. Where were you perched to paint it?

Beautiful as always Seok.

Another wow from me Seok, the very light foliage attracts the eye.

Lovely use of washes as always Seok

Lovely trees, beautiful wooden constructions and wonderful depth in this superb watercolour Seok!

This is very impressive, to do this en plein air. Love the work on the trees.

Lovely painting - love the far off trees

Great work. The perspective looks spot on. Brave people to have built their houses so close to the sea.

Beautiful Seok, your watercolours are superb!

Thanks very much, everyone! Pat, nobody lives in these structures. Sungei Buloh is a bird reserve, and in recent years, because of climate change, we've had an array of new migratory bird species stopping by where they would previously have by-passed Singapore. The wooden structures form part of a network of boardwalks and observation points where visitors to the reserve can view flocks of seasonal birds in a natural habitat. It's also a great stop for artists who have been making use of these sheltered observation points for painting the mangrove ecosystem.

Gorgeous use of washes. Lovely painting, to echo others!

Lots of lovely loose washes and negative painting here Seok! Another winner!

I love you soft style which suits this type of subject so well. Such clean washes and beautiful greens in the trees. Really super stuff, Seok.

Such soft, gentle colour Seok, it's a beauty!!

Lovely to see you again Seok. Love the root formations on these negative painted trees, beautiful.

Thanks so very much, everyone!

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve in Singapore, at low tide. At high tide, the mangrove roots are completely submerged. Painted en plein air.
