Christine Davies 19 Apr 2014 08:04 Seok, this is fantastic, I love it! The background compliments your wonderful collaged panda perfectly and is so much more interesting than the usual bamboo. Love the little red hearts too!

Carole Swingler 19 Apr 2014 09:00 Really lovely to look at Seok, love the combination of media and textures. Little hearts~~ love the panda!

She is gorgeous Seok! I love the way you have created the background without taking the viewer's eye away from the panda. Everything works beautifully together giving us a happy and joyful painting to look at.

Wonderful work Seok, you amaze me with your creativity. Any mediums you excel in.

Amazing work Seok! I like the mixed media approach and the lovely panda :)

Very cleverly done, and what's more important, very effective too.

It's been said. Superb use of everything. It just works so well. Very imaginative.

What a completely different approach, Seok. You can do everything, it is always a success!!!!

Thanks so very much, everyone!

Very, very effective Seok!

Thanks very much, Louise!

Delightful! Cant help but smile.

outstanding work Seok as always, this Panda has been captured by you so perfectly it is totally believable, with great light on it as well, and the decorative wrapping paper you used as part of the collage aspect of it, in place of the bamboo, was an inspired addition, it looks totally realistic as well

This is wonderful, Seok. You have achieved all the right shapes and injected such wonderful colours into this painted collage. Superb work.

Thanks very much, Helen, Ros and Thea!

Oh this really jumped off the gallery page, I love it. Edinburgh zoo are keeping their fingers crossed for an addition to their pandas on loan from China. Tian Tian has been artificially inseminated so hopes are high after disappointment last year.

Such an original approach and one that works so well. I love the oriental feeling about it.

I must have missed this one, brilliant!

Thanks so very much, Val, Avril and Fred!

Jia Jia, the female panda on loan to the Singapore Zoo. I didn't want to create a scene of a panda with the ubiquitous bamboo grove, so I used some gift-wrapping paper, with a chinoiserie flower design, which I'd bought years ago but never used, to create the background foliage. Hence the title. Mixed Media Work using Liquid Acrylic, Collage and Fibre Paste. Christine and Carole, thank you very much for your comments. I deleted my original posting as I realized I'd forgotten to add a dark line defining the panda's mouth!
