A small study of two tiny fiddler crabs (they're about 1 cm in size each) which I encountered on the sandbanks of Pulau Ubin, a small island off the coast of Singapore. The tide was low and the sandbank was covered with dozens of these tiny mangrove denizens. The one on the left is the blue fiddler crab and the one on the right is a very rarely sighted rosy fiddler crab. Both are males, identifiable by their single gigantic brightly colored claw which they brandish to attract females.
