Another beauty Seok and what a good idea to paint in a dome.

Lovely work Seok and you have a lovely temperature controlled dome to paint inside, there will be quite a few of us getting wet over the next few days wishing we could go into something similar, this is a super unique subject painted beautifully

You are very lucky to have this giant greenhouse Seok! A beauty of a baobab tree, very unusual.

Love the fabulous shape of this tree which you've captured so well!

What an unusual looking tree, and painted with great skill., as usual.

Beautiful painting and tree Seok

I can't believe l a greenhouse can be cool. However, if this is the sort of plant that's in there then I'm not surprised it's your new favourite haunt. This is a stunning piece and so unusual. Keep them coming I love your work.

a lovely study , and a great idea :)

Thank you very much, everyone!

What a great study of such a fascinating tree. And thanks so much for all your generous comments against my postings - so much appreciated. Very busy of late so not much time for posting - been running classes for the under-privileged - decorating - visiting - and generally feeling quite tired out - but hope to start up again soon.

This is a tree? What a wonderful name, a Baobab tree.. That's a new one for me and as often happens, I learn from your lovely paintings!

Surprising us again Seok! Lovely work as usual, and lovely pallette too :)

Lucky you Seok to have found a perfect place to paint and what a place by the sound of it! I love your stories and paintings that go with them. Never seen a Baobab tree before and it looks wonderful and very interesting. Hopefully we'll see plenty more of exotic specimens!

Wonderfully quirky tree and haven't you made a super job of painting it! I love the fact that the tree is just left on white paper so that all the details of the trunk and leaves show up in all their glory. Super work.

We have a new park in Singapore called Gardens by the Bay, which has two giant greenhouse domes housing temperate plants. I initially thought that the whole concept was outrageously kitsch, until I realised that this was the solution to all my plein air painting complaints - I could paint en plein air inside the domes in the cool comfort of the artificial biosphere! And there are always plenty of flowers in bloom and lovely trees to choose from. It's now my favorite haunt. This Baobab was in the African Tree section of the Flower Dome in Gardens by the Bay.
