It's a brilliantly wacky piece of equipment and I can perfectly see why you were attracted to it - it makes a super painting. Your treatment of the old and rusting metal is just lovely and there is so much detail to look at and enjoy. I always like unexpected paintings like this when people choose a subject that others would pass by. Great observation and great work.

How it ever made biscuits I can't imagine Seok! As Thea has said it certainly makes an interesting and unusual painting and if your Dad does ever decide to throw it out your painting will provide a lovely historical record.

An interesting subject Seok, and quite difficult to paint in watercolour. It's unusual and is a recording of times gone by, possibly not painted before. Nice tones. My husband is a flour miller ---say no more - an industry that has changed much over the last 50 years! I painted the now "museum" flour mill, but has a certain charm

This is a fantastic piece of art and industrial history combined Seok! You have drawn and painted it so beautifully that I cannot find words to tell how wonderful it is. I LOVE IT !!!!

Yes super work once again Seok.

Most unusual subject but nevertheless makes a nice painting and of course it is well painted well done Seok

Beautiful work Seok

Great work Seok. At first glance I thought it was one of your collages, because the machine seemed to jump out of the picture!

One of my very favourite artists is Heath Robinson and this puts me so much in mind of his work albeit that this is no doubt a genuine contraption that worked efficiently and effectively. I love it !!

Thanks so very much, everyone! Michael, I just looked up Heath Robinson. I love his art! Thanks for the referral!

Seok, what a lovely , family story and a beautiful piece of watercolour.

Well worth keeping so that you could produce this great painting Seok. Love that word 'pack rat' a new one for my husband he'a great hoarder!!

A super painting Seok. Who would have thought that a piece of disused machinery rusting away in a corner would make such a delightful watercolour.

A super piece of work Seok and an interesting and difficult subject to paint, but you have managed this so very well, like this a lot.

Thanks very much, Sarah, Gudrun, Carole, Val and Graham!

Great work Seok of the sort of subject I like to find when walking, with my sketch book of course.

Thanks very much, Derek!

Just beautiful Seok. All of your work is lovely.

Thanks very much, Jennifer!

Wonderful - I love everything about it

Thank you very much, Sara!

My Dad is such a packrat. He never throws anything out, even this old disused biscuit making machine which is now sitting in a corner of his biscuit factory in Malaysia. Oh well, it's ideal painting fodder, so I shouldn't complain :).
