What a fascinating story and a super watercolour Seok! All those old tins, very ordinary objects in themselves, given a new life by your creative hand. I love it!

What a great idea for a painting, and as always a super story! Beautifully done.

A great and unusual subject which makes a fascinating watercolour - in you skilled hands that is!

I agree with the above comments Seok, you have a gift of making the ordinary look extraordinary. Lovely watercolour.

an unusual subject but very well painted . And what a lovely story .Well done Seok

Thanks for your comments on my rooks Seok, another great one !! :)Linda

You must write a book Seok, illustrated with all your wonderful paintings, it would be a best seller!

Thank you very much, everyone!

Sorry I missed this one Seok. You could say ," Where have I bin." Another terrible pun. Great story, And you have tremendous patience to paint this kind of painting.

Thanks very much, Fred!

What a superb painting. It's fantaticly simple yet, beautifully composed and executed. What more can I add; I really like this one.

Love the story with your painting, it brings it all together.

Such an unusual subject and well done you for seeing the potential for a painting in it. I agree about writing a book about your travels with your super paintings figuring largely in it. Would be a best seller!

Thanks very much, Gudrun, Karyl and Thea!

Another painting with a history ...... I love the shapes and colours - a great composition.

Long before recycling became fashionable, my Dad was recycling biscuit tins collected back from Malaysian wholesale purchasers of his factory's biscuits. The practice was not driven by environmental consciousness on my Dad's part, but because the wholesalers were cheap enough to demand a small price for re-selling the tins back to him as part of the deal for purchasing the biscuits. Nowadays, of course, recycling is highly lauded everywhere. I guess you could call my Dad a trendsetter, even if an accidental one! I spotted this stack of tins on our factory floor in Malacca, West Malaysia, sometime at the beginning of this year. They were awaiting cleaning and reconditioning.
